Its really annoying.
When i come to a corner or round-about, on the way around it, if speed is high enough, loud grinding sounds of the rear wheels rubbing against the wheel arches sound horrible.
Does anyone else hae this problem? How to fix?
It doesnt sound sound very nice :(

I have the same prob but i found its just cause the tyres appear to be too wide and scrape on the inner guard, not the flare. I have a clubman S and 165's seem to be a touch too wide even though they have spacered drums, either that or my rear suspension is all screwed up lol.

I don't know anything about hilo's or the suspension.
The tyres are 145/85/10.

Sound like u may have LS rims thay usually sit closer in the guard then a normal contessa does. Other words the off set makes the wheels center further to the outside of the wheel insted of being closer to the center of inner edge.
and Camel do u have hrdyo suspension or dry

Sounds like it may need pumping up to get it a bit higher and also with Hydro if the front is to low just put a half fertilizer bag of sand in the boot to level it up.

The mini front is really low.
The back end sits up really high.
It is tilted to the front at a very large angle

Put some weight on the back of the car and see if the front comes up and if so it will be Hydro.

145/85/10??? i think you should get some 145/70/10's or even better some 165/70/10's.

If so high at the back, why is it rubbing? Should clear the guards.. unless your rear bumpstops are broken..?

Got the proper rims on still.

Its the side of the wheel rubbing on the side of the wheel arch. Not on top :?

Hmmm... maybe a rear arm (or subframe) is bent.. or the arm's pin hole in the subframe is worn oval.
How is the other side- how much clearance?

If I take corners hard, the rear wheel just rubs on the under side of the flare at the rear on either side. Set the Spax to there hardest setting, but mite be just a bit to low? Runnin 165/60/12 on Superlites. Both subframes have been completley rebuilt, but the rubber cones are still stock.
