I am planning to have some front heal mats made for a Mk2 Cooper S / Clubman GT.
They should be excellent reproductions with the mould being made from an original Mk2 S Mat.
Any one interested in purchasing one to help reduce the costs?
(The mould alone will cost about $1,500)
Cost will be between $80 and $100 each, depending on the interest. Even less if sales are high.
The original mat measures 183mm X 303 mm, and has 27 X 46 squares.
When they copy the mat to make the mould, any wear will be removed, and the rubber compound used will be very similar to the original.
Lead time will be about 6 weeks from when I give the go ahead.

PM me with details if you are interested,

The photos are of the original to be used.

Any other interest in reproduction heal mats for the Mk2 Cooper S, Clubman GT?
They should come up like new original ones.
I need about another 10 to make it worth getting done.
PM me if you are interested.

Should have the repro heal mats in about three weeks.
I am confident they will be very good copies of the original, excluding the small wear area.

Who do you get to make the heel mats? Could they make a boot mat for a Morris 1100?

This photo shows the mat from my May 1970 MK II Cooper S when I first took delivery of the car. I believe this to be the original mat. :?:

Never seen a Mk2 with that style heal mat, but your carpet looks original - strange things did happen with the Mk2's to use up stock.

The two 1969 Cooper S featured in Issue 14 of The Mini Experience had different heel mats (p 60).

Len Nations (chassis 1237) has the Mk1 mat, while Gavin Rolfe's (chassis 1119) has the Mk2 mat - and both are original.

Just goes to show the variation with the change-over period.

Cheers,
Watto.
