Modification generally means the need for an engineers cert. I think your mini will be fine. But i am sure that some coppers may see it as a grey area. Maybe Lucas our resisdent Fuz can shed some light on this?

Cheers

Aaron

It states in the letter exactly what it means. No turbo or supercharged cars, no V8 or larger and no 'hot' V6s.. anything under that is fine. You still can drive a turbo/supercharged car or v8 if it is the 'main' family car. If you have your P plates before july 11, it doesn't matter you can drive whatever. It only applies to people who get them after this date.

i feel for you guys, the RTA is a joke, your gonna kill urself easyr in a 13 sec mini than a 13 sec falcodore, what they need to do is force you guys into doing a defensive driver course. THAT will lower road trauma's, not putting cameras on a down hill slope, in the middle of no-where n a roadthat no-one crashes on!!!!

WAIT A MINIT!!!!! i got it!!! they wont fix our roads cuz all the pot holes can slow us down!! no more speed humps!! clever government we got, yes we do...

It also applies if you lose your licence after this date and get it back....

An incentive to be good it is :)

Nah it's even worse if you lose your licence... When you get it back you are only allowed to carry 1 passenger max! I think that lasts for a year or 2..

Hey guys get your politics in perspective Howard is federal - your State Government that controls your roads is Labor

Here here - The feds dont have any pull with local state legislation - the RTA are crooks anyways and will be the only thing that survives a protracted nuclear war(apart from cockies!!)
