Started investigating the droning noise I've started to hear (or imagine prior to the Asparagus Job), and discovered one of the Timken taper-rollers I fitted to the rears about 6 months ago has started to bind up

Pulled both out, cleaned them, greased them good with new Castrol HTB and whacked them back in. The binding one is now a bit better, the run to work tomorrow will tell whether the drone has gone away. Either way, I'll probably fit a new one before we leave for Brisbane, better to be safe than sorry :)

Welded the top bits of the door skin to the frame.

Welded an "extension" (27mm socket) onto the top of my short 1.5" socket so I can tighten and torque the swivel joints

Fiddle with the shims in the swivel joints on one hub and got splinters in my fingers scratching my head

Regreasing the binding rear wheel bearing seems to have made the droning worse, so a new one will go on tomorrow.

Tonight I pulled down one front hub for a regrease.. damn I love the taper-rollers, they make this job much easier than otherwise 8)

I fitted a set of Quad 40mm bike carbs onto the small-bore twin cam mini,,, but they`re
p!$$ing fuel out of a couple of o-rings :-(

damn it, have to rip them all off & apart to fix them... probably cost me all of $2 bugger it!!!

not going to bother till after the muster tho,,, it can just sit there now & think about what it`s done, maybe it will realise how much love i give it & heal itself out of respect ???

Nah,,, didnt think so :-)

Tried to work out why the window won't go up on the drivers door. Have to take the trim off now.

Rang about the rust repairs in the other one. "It'll be ready tomorrow. :P
