O GOD.. I just got a email back from the engineer RE:flip front roll cage and a few things.. And I did not get any info out of him at all... only I have to make a appointment to talk about the mods. @ $165per hour + GST

I am sure he could have at least said yes/no to my questions on what legal and not..

STUPID NSW AND RTA... and crap...

Try a different engineer. If he's gonna be that stingy are you sure you want to continue to use him? :o

engineers get questions like that from people all the time and from what I hear, get pretty sick of it. That's probably a standard answer "$x per hour...blah blah"

i guess. It was a real nice long letter. quite detailed of my plans with pics of other flip fronts so he had a idea of what i was looking at for the mods.

All I was after was a yes/no on a few things and what has to be engineered... O well. will book in for a piss money at wall chat and find out..

But really most of the infomation should be open to puplic. what is on the RTA web is so crap...

hmmmm. back to my work

what colour combo are you going on the body? Sorry if it's common knowledge.....i must have missed it.

What's the ETA for completion? It will be next month at this rate....and what are you going to do when you finish?? You will be worse than me (I am currently bored shitless having *nearly* finished JAM)

sorry for the late reply anton. lol I must have missed anymore posts added. colour combo is all black and yellow. it will get twin black stripes running over the hole car. black flars, the centres of the mags will get powder coated black, all the bushes and mounts are the yellow minisport comp. ones in yellow. the race seats are black and yellow. (will get the back seat trimmed to match)

As for the update.. after a long arvo on fri and all day sat and parts of sunday. I made a little more progress.

left and right sides are all smooth now. small dents have been fixed. drip rails removed (man there was some rust hiding under there. all cleaned and treated primed and filled)

rear valance removed. thanks to JAMs web page :)

will be putting a new one on next week. but i am going for the debumpered look. I think it will look that part with the colour and stripes.. (phat look)

Also the rear sub frame is all empty of parts and ready for its clean up and rebuild.

and the engine bay was all stripped and a coat of primer and primer filler put on.

I think thats It.

Sorry for the long post. :-)
