Well hello fellow mini enthusiasts,

My name is Ollie and i own a white mini ute. Don't get too excited, its not an origional ute, but its a 75 clubman van conversion. Very fun car. Ive been meaning to join up to ausmini for a while as i already know quite a few people in the mini scene. Its definately helped me learn more about the car. Im a student and i live in Cremorne (Sydney). Ill post up a photo of the ute soon when i find out how to do it. Hope to hear more form everyone, Catchya

Ollie,

Hi to Ollie-mini Ute. I think I saw you in Cremorne last week. We did the mini wave (whatever that is) . Nice mini. I was in the white GT. Just thought I'd say hello to all. Still trying to get a handle on setting up signatures and posting a thumbnail pic, member gallery pics etc etc. All in good time....maybe over Easter while crunching on chocolate eggs.

I drove my new Clubman down from Brisbane couple weeks ago. Bought from Jason who had been chatting here about his car back in November. Well, it (she/he whatever) lives in Manly now but is at the moment getting a reconditioned gearbox over at mini classic plus a few minor but important things like getting the heater working for winter! (Brrr). Hope to catch up with some Sydney minis at end of April for the coast/sydney drive.

cheers,

minichick (eleanor or elle)

Welcome Elle....a White GT sounds very nice [INSERT PICTURES PLEASE!]

Is the pub at Harbord still painted white?? My Uncle managed the place years ago and I have many fond memories of staying over and taking advantage of the nearby beach...Best, Mick

Hi Mick...no the Harbord Hilton as we call it is now painted a sort of heritage like sandy beachy colour. Yes, the beach is THE best and the area is quite lovely. I myself lived in Canberra for 6 years while running a business there...lets see...about 10 years ago I returned. Lived all over..Narrabundah,Reid and finally Cook (the wonderful Wybalena Grove). great for cycling and skiing (yah!!!...Yikes!!!)....cheers...will be posting my pics up real soon....keep a look out. I love my new little white car. Yours is a winner...did you get it in canberra?

Sandy colour??? hmmmm Ooooh..Kay :D The Diggers always took most of the high class clientel and had good bands to get the young groovers in which left the HH with a good bunch of regulars and relatively quiet.

So you lived in Canberra?? that means you can't be all that bad :P

My Mini is ex-Sydney I believe....I acquired it in Cranberry tho..

Look after that GT....you just don't see all that many around...well worth preserving :D 8)

Hello Everyone

My name is michael. I'm from wollongong and have a 1973 leyland. At present it is spread from one end of the shed to the other. I had a pretty good idea what was going to happen until I found this site.

My brain is in overload

Talk soon
Michael

Hi Michael , how long has the rebuild been going , always helps to have a bit of encouragment with your rebuild when it slows down a bit , any pic's of it before you started and what are you planning for the rebuild ? Ask whatever questions you may have and somebody is bound to help .

It's an ex sydney county council car. I'm keen on an engine conversion, but do not want to spoil this mini. I have already put out the feelers for info on the county council heritage, hope to get heaps of info. I'll try and get a few pics on soon.
