Well my phillip island classic was over before it began. Made it from Eltham to Grantville before it managed to pump all the oil from the sump into the cooling system and then out the radiator overflow all over the windscreen.
Given the cars recurring need to blow the headgasket it looks like the head is not in the best shape.

Gotta love RACV total care, tow home free of charge  .

Fear not however, we will rebuild her , we have the technology. Bigger valves here we come!

Hope everyone else haves fun!

The Mini Regularity practice was held in fine and dry conditions at 9am. Check out the times in the link below:
http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/resul ... 9.PHIL.Q23

Heavy rain set in perhaps an hour or so later which ended any events on the track until the main weather front had passed over. At about 1pm a revised schedule of events was issued and most classes got to see some track time, although the conditions were showery which kept the track wet for the rest of the day.

The Mini Regularity event was the last event on Saturday's program and run in the rain.
For times check this link:
http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/resul ... 9.PHIL.R13

Our thanks must go to the Mike Holloway and his team of officials (many from the VMCI) who still put on a great event, despite the very trying weather conditions.

It is expected that there will be another Mini Regularity event on tomorrow, and the weather is thankfully looking like it will be better than today.

big spread of times there, which was expected, 2:04 isnt a bad time in a small low powered car at phillip island, good work! the rain would have been interesting, it gets quite slippery down there with some puddles that seem to run right where you dont need them on some corners

Sunday turned out to be cold and windy, but the rain stayed away until after the Mini Regularity that was held at 12:30. :)
Here's a link to the times: (Not sure what happed to Mr. Simon Kerr, but a 4:51 minute lap shows he must have had some 'issues'.
http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/resul ... 9.PHIL.R37

Saturday night was pretty wet and windy down at the Island, a number of small marquees collapsed and a big marquee blew down and damaged a number of the Group N cars. Some pit access tracks turned into muddy quagmires and the showers returned later on the Sunday afternoon. All that aside, it was still a great weekend with some fabulous cars, great racing and a good crowd despite the weather. A P52 Mustang even performed some aerobatics and low, fast passes over the circuit at around lunchtime. The sound of that supercharged V12 flying low overhead is unreal :D

Congratulations to the Vic Historic Racing Register, and especially the VMCI members who assisted and supported Mike and Janis Holloway in the running of such a huge event in much less than ideal conditions.

Here's a few 'mini' snaps form the weekend:
