steve, i hope this doesnt come out the wrong way. Im not trying to be a smart arse at all. A 1400 stroker built by Graham russell is not going to come out cheap. he said it he has spent 6k on his motor, that could also include purchase price.

End of the day, motor built by graham are not exactly inthe same category as the $2000 rebuild at a local engine builder. People call him god for a reason. he puts in the time and effort, massive skill and knowledge to build UNBELIEVABLE MOTORS...

...thats just my opinion of course. I hold him in very high regard

Hey not fair i had first rights to buy, im the fully sickest. Iwanna, have u lowered the seat so that i cant see over the steering wheel? I need to look fully sick when i pick up ur ride, im sure u understand.

BTW, getting back on to topic - I think smurf is probably not to be berated about how much he spent on an engine. When my K's engine starting to hold a max of about 5psi warm i went and got a rebuild and fixed the gearbox syncros while i was at it.

I went somewhere quality (link in melb), people i can trust and who do good work and are well recommended. I got a stock standard 1098 rebuild, double row timing gears the only option, with a partial gearbox rebuild and it cost me around $4600. Imnot complaining because its a good job and its warrantied and will last for much longer than i'll own the car. So there is definitely a price put on good work.
