AFAIK it can be a border line call to fit a 45DCOE or 40DCOE to your 1275, I have read that a stock 1275 is probably better off with a 40DCOE if you are going to mod it seriously then you should move up to a 45.

EDIT: Webers and delortoes dealt with interchangably but above meantioned book says that the delortoes deliver better fuel economy than the webers. but the webers deliver better power but there is not much in it. Something about delortoes atomise fuel better than the weber but the A series doesn't like too finely atomised fuel (don't ask me why)

SUs deliver the best fuel economy apparantly.

45 weber will work fine, bung it on & have it set up right & you`ll be sweet

34 mm chokes in either a weber or dellorto of any size will work fine "IF" jetted to suit, no dramas, most problems come from incorrect setting up.

if it`s cheap & avaliable & you`re going to stuff it onto a bigger donk later then just do it

yes, smaller carbs work better than bigger carbs on small engines, but hey,,,choked down to 34mm will run just about any mini donk well,,,again "IF" set up well.

easy-peasy
