GT1310,,,that`s a custom job,,,but 75mm thick, it wasn`t made how i wanted it, the slack buggas took it upon them selves to do it the way "They" thought it should be done without comunicating with me,,,i`m a bit p!$$ed about it actually, but it is a good efficient cooler , so that`s what it`s all about,,,just that it could have been a bit more asthetically pleasing if they had done what i asked,,,you just can`t get good help these days :-)

Sg,,,start breaking the other foot then :-)

Gafmo,,,i was tinkering about the gun metal grey for a bit there,,,sort of GTR Skyline but maybe with a bit more silver in it ,,,???

starting to think about a really really dark (almost black) Green HHhhmmmm ,,,Thinking thinking thinking,,,oh, brain hurts now,,,stop thinking stop thinking stop thinking :-)

"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""$1100"""""""""""""""""""""""""!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bugga it!!!!!!!!!!

would have been happier paying that much "IF" they`d just done it how i asked,,,ah well,,,it is a good cooler tho the very best core avaliable & well sized etc, just that it could have been way better for the same money,,,"MY" way of doing things does normally take a bit more time/effort/energy/thinking/ etc, but it could have been hardly noticable if it was done "MY" way,,,this "thing" sticks out like dogs balls :-)

Don`t matter for the moment tho,,,i`ll just run her how she is , but later i`ll have one "Made to order" :-) this one can go onto some other toy :-)

Matt does it fit under the bonnet? My thoughts are looking at the low shot at the front that it's going to foul the bonnet 'supports/structure'.

What did you have in mind that was different to how the intercooler has come out? Can you get a thinner core intercooler so you only have to space the grill a small amount? I understand you would be sacrificing colling capacity.

Ya gotta go a strong colour for such an awesome car, but with some history.
Castrol green is the go. Speedwell blue is too wishy-washy for this car!

And I love the new "angry grill" :)

Thanks Gilly,,,Yeah i wondered about that dodgey bloke with the one thong myself,,,asked him if he`d lost a thong & he said --->"Nah,,,found one" :-)

AWdmoke...i`m really leaning towards a very very very dark (almost black) green but in a Flat/Matt/satin type finish,,,was thinking about the dark yellow on the late model Monaros tho

Bungholio,,,the bonnet supports have to be removed,,,Bugga it!!!,,,i really wanted that extra weight,,,ah well,,,suppose it will have to be a carbon fibre lightweight bonnet then, Dam!!! :-) :-) :-) & yeah it will also need a very slight buldge just where the front of the top timing/rocker cover/cam pulley area is,,,only tiny weeny buldge tho, b ut i will also be cutting 2 holes in the front of the bonnet, one on each corner,,,drivers side for air feet into the air filter & one on the passengers side to help air flow to the radiator & thay way it all looks a bit more symetrical (sort of) :-)

The grille will be a problem tho,,,as i didn`t get the desired intercooler & yeah i wanted a 50mm one instead of the 75mm one so the thinner one would have been a lot easier to disguise, but also it was meant to be a lot longer with more rounded end tanks to "mimmick" the shape of the original grille...the next one will be that way tho. Probly just cover the grille with alloy mesh & make it a "rolled out" sort of affair & probly just help distract it a little with my 2 huge Cibie spottys off the old "New Blew" rally weapon :-)

It really can`t be looking like a sleeper now tho can it ??? :-)

Anyone see the Monaco parked next to the broadspeed in the new "Mini Experience" mag???,,,i think it was the castrol green one from down south, but it looks very dark in the pic tho,,,looks HOT!!!!

sweet, thanks guys,,,

the intercooler can be removed for the inspection if they get all shity with it :-), bung it back on afterwards,,,there`s just no other place for the dam thing :-)

Matt, why not build a cowling to extend just past the intercooler and that will accept whatever grill you are going to use (the original 850??)... :D
