does anyone know of any Australian 850 engines? I thought that up until the mid-60's at the least, the Oz minis were more or less CKD (complete cnock down) with all major compoents UK made?

True. Morris 1100 motor was built here and the 998 Deluxe and then Mini-K, but I believe all the 850's were UK sourced. Early ones were that dark green Pommy colour, too. :wink:
