AFAIK he doesn't want to get (2) the CV joint out but further towards the centre of the car there is a small rubber boot that covers a splined sliding joint type thing which is used with the steel uni joints and the rubber uni joints but not with the pot joints.

he wants to get this off and replace it and also get rid of the rubber uni joints right

Damn Straight! Thats exactely what I am trying to do

Can you push the U bolts as far towards the gearbox as possible and slide the sliding type joint as far out as you can and get the other half off :?: then you should be able to turn the U bolts around which ever way and get them off, I think :? :D

If one set of U Bolts won't come out you have to rotate the wheel/driveshaft so it is in the same place where the other two U Bolts came out....

the u's who arches face away from the gearbox come off very easily ... the u's who's arches face the gearbox get stuck :(

on the steel ones they are easily undone as u can take of the rubber ends :) but the rubber joints sucks asss
