Nooo, of course it doesn't give you a broken neck automatically, that would be dumb.

The damage comes from dumb people ripping the unfortunate riders helmet off so they can ask him how fast he was going or just so they just want to tell him how dangerous it is to ride a bike and it's no wonder he fell off.

The chin impacts the ground in a peculiar manour driving the helmet into the chin and something very bad happening there to do with the brain and spine. Can't be much better than with an open helmet anyhoo.

Open faces belong on posty bikes and in race cars where acceptable.

exactly, its a numbers game - 99.999999% of the time you won't break your neck in a helmet impact on a bike

its the entire body stopping suddenly from 260km/h that does the trick :!:
