I drive my clubbie daily to and from work, would probbably drive it more but the lure of a soft-top 4wd on sunny days over-powers that. Maybe i need to sell my sierra and chop my mini :D .

yep......Ribena is my daily driver, unless the 4wd is in the driveway when I go to work. But Ribena takes me 3 or 4 days a week.

Cheers

Not my house. My driveway is almost directly opposite where that mini was parked.

Why are you switching to a daily driver Mini?

We are a 1 car plus the mini family. Works fine now but after the move up north we will need 2 cars.

Fark it gives me the shits sometimes.
My dilemma is this.
I've thrown too much money at it to sell it, or to justify it just sitting in the garage.
I can't afford to register 3 cars.
It's not original or in good enough nick for club plates, and I'd want to drive it more than that anyway.

One more breakdown and I think I'll set fire to it - that's if I have a home to go back to when I tell the missus it's broken again

What to do What to do.

You gotta love a mini.

Yeh misty is my daily drive - havent had any probs really, rad cooked once, and the other day a lead popped outta the dizzy cap over a speed hump and i was chugging along on 3 for a while.. But otherwise she's rock solid.

And its always nice to jump in and actually ENJOY driving pretty much everytime you go somewhere. You dont need great roads just a roundabout or two and u get the grin.

A lot of people think im crazy - slow heater(bloody hot when it gets there!!), no aircon, 1 speed wipers, no demisting and NO radio/ICE... but hey, im a glutton for punishment :D:D

interesting replies so far!

Here is a twist on the original question...

How far do you drive in your Mini, if it's a daily hack?

My trip to work is 1 hour!

I used to use my mini as a daily work car, till it failed a brake test (handbrake) that and the oil leaks realy led me to start the GTi. that probably is the only reason that I want a gti is so that I can run it to work again.
I drove 75kms a trip.... 4 days a week. I had to leave 10 mins earlier then I do now to allow for the speed.. 100k/hr.
I hate getting overtaken by trucks too. especially in the wet, with my single speed wipers.

yeah have to drive an hour to and back, and minis are fantastic when they dont have any problems.

i always seem to have problems however,
and i don't have any money to fix them.

i'd probably swap my minis for a starlet glanza, swift gti or ae86
