A008's are the equivalent to the A539's

I swear by the A008's for a 10" tyre... no better value for money...

A032R's are one step better but are pricey... & Way way too soft for the street...

A539's are the go but I would definitely shop around. I got a full set a few months ago for about $108 a corner.

i was distraught when they took A008s off the market for bigger cars .
best road tyres i have ever had....by a country mile.
the best bit was twice being sent to the dmt because cops said they were illegal (idiots said that the "holes" did not constitute a full tread across the wheel).

LOVED EM!

May i ask where you got them at this price? I'll have to name a place when i demand that other places match the price. ;)

Do not discount the A352 tyres - they have just been reintroduced to the range and they are the bees knees. Had them on a 1982 Skyline 2.4 6 cylinder and they were the bom!!

Bit pricey but worth it. Could be an option in the 13 inch realm...poor mans BF Goodrich T/A(leave great marks on your "private" road!!!

Hooroo

The supposedly good bf goodrich tyres on my falcon when i bought it allowed me to drift the car out of the big roundabout at tuggeranong in 3rd in the dry
In the wet it wouldn't keep traction and was near impossible to keep on the road.
I nearly lost it one day just driving out of a corner slower than the traffic in front of me and the tail snapped out.
So I went to bob jane in fyshwick asked for a good 15" tyre and he reccomended the yoko a539.

AND

Oh.......my........GOD were they good!
No more drifting out of roundabouts, more traction than i wanted sometimes
and the wet weather performance was better than the bf's in the dry. well worth the $145 a corner i paid 6 years ago. i got 40,000km out of them and tortured them nearly the whole time and rotated one only
Oh and don't get me started on the bridgestone gIII's i replaced them with

Oh and i'm never having bridgestones on any car i ever own again,
Yokohama all the way, NAV's getting a008's soon and the bommadore is getting the new c-drive's which replace the a539 in 16" as the a539's are nla.

I went to a couple of other places and so far the cheapest i can get the a539 yokies for is $119. That's not too bad but now that i've seen the a048r i'm thinking that i might want them now. Beaurepaires had no listing for them though so i've got to look harder to find a price for those.

Local dealer for the a048r anyone?

buy any 4 yokohama tyres before december 31st and you get a $50 fuel voucher...

seems like they are worth it for a while :)

Bob Jane were the ones that quoted me $135ea for the a539. If they can match the price of the other tyre shops as well as give me the $50 fuel voucher then that'll be where i go.

A048r's will wear out twice as quick as the A539's
