Ooo nice nice nice.
If i get the extractors done, then take it to an exhaust place to get the rest of the system, would it turn to crap where they weld it up?
:?
Hmm might just have to go to the exhaust shop and talk turkey with them

Many colours are available, silver is the most common and therefore the cheapest. Expect to pay $200+ for a 3 piece LCB set up, inside and out.

Don't weld onto the ceramic coated sections. Get your exhaust centre to make up a snug slip joint. If you want more security, weld a couple of tabs or loops onto the extractors before having them coated, do the same to the exhaust pipe, and stretch some motor bike exhaust springs betweem them to hold it all in place.

Maniflow LCB's are the way to go, Will. Don't even look anywhere else! The quality and design on Maniflow extractors are second to none!

Okay i've been up to MiniSport today.
He showed me the jet hot coated extractors he has on a car he's building up.
Farken jesus they look nice!! :)

I'm almost set on just getting the Maniflow (standard bore) traccys and have them sent off to the place in Melbourne to have the bling applied.
The stainless extractors he showed me didnt really make me go "wow", so i'll get the steel ones hot coated for about the same price as the SS item - much more bling too.
The SS maniflows were quite dull and not bling at all.
Not into the dull stuff personally

So yep, thats what i'll be doing.

Marky at Exhaust Tech can get the extractors coated for you instead of getting them shipped to Melb and back.

A mate of his does it for him, maybe called powercoat but I might be wrong. He got my custom intercooler pipes done when he made them up, looked very very nice. He used to have a display in the waiting room but I haven't been there for a few years.

Check out whether it's Powder Coating or Ceramic Coating. Powder coating is fine for intercooler pipes and induction applications, but won't stand up to exhaust temperatures.
Jet Coating (Melbourne) and High Performance Coatings or HPC (Leongatha Vic) use a ceramic coating process that is even able to withstand turbo temperatures. There's a big difference in price too.
