Snaps are Aircraft Quality - well known for their accuracy - therefore the old Sidchrome and Stanley are probably not half bad....

OMG, sidchrome it is! haha

well I like the kincrome set too.. I am gonna hit crap converters before I go shopping for new. I also saw Kmart ones too and they didn't look half bad, but I been using these KC Tools ones and boy, I am sold... they are sooo much better than my borrowed kmart set...

Yeah I think I will need both 1/4 and 1/2inch set as well as rachet ring spanners, air compressor, deep impact set, hoist... all in due time!!! first things first, a good handy set of 1/2"

And yes I got 2 imperial (cause you can never have enough spanners!) and one metric set of spanners from bunnings for $8 per set of 9 and they are v.v.good for the price  thanks for that peice of advice...

Guys, I've bought my share of crap sockets over the years too.
Now I only buy stuff that lasts.

Sidchrome have a special on now with a 1/4-3/8 drive socket set. It goes from 4-19mm and 3/16"-3/4". Usual accessories. Well made, even if they do come from Taiwan now.

Perfect size for a Mini. $99 at Gasweld or Bunnings. I bought a set for work, it's real well made and works great. Lifetime warranty.

ps. with most tools, if it ain't chrome vanadium, it ain't worth buying..

Mine are Repco. I've never had a problem with them.. oh, except for being STOLEN. I did the el cheapo sets and normally broke sockets, rounded spanners and once made a ratchet spin.. but then again I'm a heavy handed twit.

plenty of 1/2".. two sockets, two ring spanners short and long, two open ended spanners. A couple of 9/16", 7/8".. and I'm trying to think what the flywheel/crankshaft bolt size is..

Yeah they WERE.. got bought by the Yanks a while back, same dudes who own Proto and bought WIA (Welding Industries Australia)
Their tools do come from Taiwan now, but the quality is still there. They even look the same- the same good boxes too!

Camshaft nut 1-5/16",
Disc brake hub nut 1-5/16",
Balljoint socket 1-1/2" (a deep one)

Flywheel nut is 1-1/2", as Dewey said.

What he called `wheel nut' is the drum brake hub nut...

I think you got a typo there, cam nut is 1-5/16" A/F, not 1-5/8"...
