If you fill the rad cold and then let it warm up, and no water comes out I'd say the cap is for a rad with a longer neck. :cry: Better change cap....

Most all Oz Mini rads have a long neck, but the current 2 & 3 core rads coming from UK have a short neck. :wink:

I've recently put a new radiator in my mini from Karcraft and noticed it has a shorter neck than the original radiator. The old cap takes a bit of getting on, so I too should be getting a new cap!

OK so I went to the local Auto Spares joint this arvo and picked up a cap especially for an expansion tank. No probs finding one to suit a Mini.....in fact it suits about 50 different vehicles :shock:

$10 and works like a charm. Coolant pushes into my expansion tank (ex Hyundai Excel) and sucks back into the rad when the car is turned off. :P
