I wonder how hard it is to roll one of these onto their side going round a corner?

I had a 1300 matic. They do 100mph stock (photos to prove it), But they are an orphan, cannont get parts, AKA hydro bags, CV joints, drive flage and window winders. My bet is the window winders are broken, they CV joints make noise when you brake, the drive flange will be stiped and if the hydro bags ever fail the car is rubbish.

Maybe it'd be rubbish in Melb, but parts for old Morries are plentiful in Adelaide.
THe car is very original, and will not be hacked up.
I'll leave it as is.
I wont thrash it.
I'll service it regularly.
Keep the old girl going :)

And if/when it dies, puhlease, keep the 1275 auto motor... they go nice on a manual box in a Mini, once modded... 8)

It was red, a mid aged bloke was in it, and the bonnet was grey, and half the other panels were yellow
and it sounded very sick 8) :P
And i said what cheesecake is that
and then i saw it was a 1300
and i said
OKKHER :!:

I know where there is one in a paddock - was driven till it stopped and is basically good condition - the elderly owners only want a token sum -($50) for its removal

I have photos - in Mudgee region.

Has the overhead cam motor though

They go nice slightly modded WITH the Auto :)

The CV's are the same as Mini Disk Brake ones.
The drive flanges and hydro bags are cheap and easy to get second hand if you ask the right people.

Sounds like a nice find willy!

bnicho, you sound like you have the brains trust in regards to the old Morrie... is 1500 a decent price for it?
Interior damn perfect, top dash vinyl is split around the vent? hole in the centre, but nothing my Gran cant fix with a knitted dash cover
Seats fine.
Rust very minimal.
No smoke.
Drives VERY nicely.
Everything WORKS.

output flanges and shafts on the auto are same as a Cooper S. Good ones worth $$$ now.
Side covers are different though.

Sounds like a good price to me if it's as good as you say. :) They are a vastly underrated car.

I used to have an 1100S manual, it was a $400 bargain in the early days of eBay. You can see it on my website if you're interested.

I have "infected" a colleague from work and he is now making one good 1100S from two.
