I have seen one , with this pudding stirrer gear stick. But im just wondering did they all come out with this type of gear change and the gear shifter changed and the rubber boot put on... Is this COMMON.. or was it an option...to choose what type of gear shifter you were after.... :? WHATS THE STORY WITH THIS RUBBER BOOT COVERED HOLE ????????
Cheers Monster Mini :? :? :?

The car is a Morris 850. They, from factory have, *surprise* and 850 engine. The 850 engine had a gear stick which came straight from the gearbox and into the cabin through that hole in the lower firewall.

They look like this.

my car had a leyl**d engine put in it and it has the rod change gearbox.

They come out where you see and the previous owner had to cut a hole to fit it... and therefore, had to cover up the hole the wand used to travell through.

Unless of course you're talking about my starter button (next to the gear lever)

Thanks Ben, that was exactly what I was talking about. Do you happen to know if is was only the Morris 850 that came out with this type of gear shift? :D :) :D

Thanks, Marlene.

i get it hahaha
Ok now serous, that button next to the original gear stick hole, my mini has one aswell but mine dips the lights. What is yours again? Also would it look good if i covered the wood dash with black material and put it back in. So there is a dash but its not the original wood look. Would this work?
