Hey Dave if you wave at a maroon Mitsubishi colt sedan with a slightly damaged front I'll wave back. It has a ausmini sticker across the back window too

What ever happened to the wave from other Mini drivers?

Forget that

I have seen no more than 2 minis of any sort in probably the last 3 months

My wife was amazed when she started driving her mini - other mini drivers wave back!

And when I drive my Commer van, and I see another one, I go mental! Flashing lights, waving both arms, the whole 9 yards.

Motorcyclists are the same, but it's The Nod.

i always wave (and sometimes chase  ) when i see another mini, with bini's i wave if they wave first.

but i also wave almost any classic. except beetles... we were on a cruise a while ago, and the local MG club was cruising the other way! many waves were waved that day

I've had the same experience as Chop with Binis (must be the crowd around here?!?), I'd guess that 1 in 5 wave, regardless of whether I wave first or not. I figure that the rest just own the car for way they look in them (blawdy latte sipping, blah, blah) :)

I always give a little wave to and sometimes a much more entheustiac one

However some months back a guy in a BINI waved at me and before i realised it i was waving back!! I felt dirty. I felt like I had betrayed someone... But waving at minis when driving another mini, and getting that enthusiastic wave back, is just another part of the fun of owning a mini so wave on!!! (maybe even if smoeone in a BINI waves at you... but they have to wave first!!)

The wave is still alive and kicking in melb. I do heidelberg to st kilda and back three times a week in my mini plus local trips and every mini I see waves back. Some even pull up at the lights and ask me questions about the car .

As for binis, they aren't minis so why wave; and I've yet to see one wave at me. Even if they did I'd probably give them a non-enthusiastic wave back or pretend I didn't see it at all (thank you driving sunnies).

right on!!
i always get super excited when i see another mini..
i once met these two crazy guys on the highway and we were all waving frantically, and honking.
one was in his mokei.
the other was in his mini.

i rarely wave at binis, they never seem too friendly...
