don't listen to people who haven't had 13's

in cornering and grip, the 13's crap all over the rest

i wouldnt even have considered 13"s before because of all the stuff people say about em, but having driven the same car on 10's and 13's i'll take the 13's

With the offset. Did you mean spacing the wheels out further from the centre of the car?
That was what i meant. But i was barking up the wrong tree. On account of disks on the front the front tyres are a little further out from centre than the rear wheels.
I realise this isnt what you were talking about but didn't think about what i was saying, before saying it.
There is about 15mm clerance between the inside front of the rear tyre and the trailing arm.
They are 175. 50. 13 sims tyre.
Thanks again..

I reckon about 20 years of building and racing Mini Sportsedans both with 10 inch and 13 inch wheels might just give me some insight into what works, even at the last mini racing at Wakefield the quickest A series had 10 inch wheels and it was only marginally slower than the 2 hybrids with Honda Vtech and Toyota powered which both have more power and both tun 13inch and 8 or 9 inches in width

Spaceboy what tyres were on the 10 inch and what tyres are on the 13s

Yep, that's what I was getting at. Wheel offset is the distance between the centreline of the tyre and the mounting face of the wheel. At the rear it doesn't matter much, but at the front it dramatically affects the steering feel of the car.

If your rear tyres clear the trailing are by 15mm, and you are using non-spacer drums, then your wheels are offset outwards by approx 25mm more than mine (I'm using spacer drums, and my tyres clear the trailing arm by about 2mm). 25mm more is a huge difference and could well explain your tramlining issues.
