That would suit clubs such as ours -minsinthegong- as we are not a recognised club, it would mean a lot of our members would be able to club plate their cars and attend our runs, it would be great.

Cheers Ryan

No, not in NSW Ryan. In order to get onto the CRS scheme currently, you have to be a member of an incorporated club, and that club has to be affiliated with the CMC (council of motor clubs). For that you have to be voted into the CMC by a vote from the other member clubs. Currently you can't just rock up to the RTA and ask for CRS (at least not legally, some RTA's may well process you  ) I can't see this changing in the near future.

But you could form a club, enrol in CMC, and wait for your turn. With newly formed clubs, they are insisting on using Blue and Pink slips rather than recognised club expertise for vehicle inspections.

Talk about DEAD THREADS!

When you buy a CH plated car in Vic, the owner should take the plates off it and inform Vic Roads that the car is unregistered. You already have an RWC, so book your VicRoads appt, take the CH plates off and present it as an unregistered vehicle. Your last registered number would be the CH plate number.

Cheers,
