Dont assume that something is legal just because other people do it..... that is stupidity.

Hell, my old boss never put the yearly rego sticker on his cars.... he said "it makes my cars look messy, and the fine is only $28, so I keep it in the glovebox"

Some time back I had a talk to a highway patrol guy who told me that forward facing camera's are rarely used. They will if a silly speed is being observed but for reasons of flash etc but rarely for routine use.

I think it also has something to do with that weeks revenue from the camera though.

The same policeman also told me that a very senior policeman was forward photographed in a private car with someone in the front seat who should not have been in the frontseat and that this caused great embarrasment to him through out the police force as the phot was widely distributed. This was also shortly after a state politician was similarly photographed.

Maybe fact - maybe fiction - but it is what was repeated to me in a conversation.

Another thing too is the cameras are sometime empty - they move the innards around the other cameras...

They are gradually buying more camera's all the time though.

The camera at the top of Bellbird Hill near Sydney in NSW has the local residents very very frustrated and angry as brake screeches etc as well as people trying to destroy the camera keeps them awake.

It was hit by a shotgun several times a year or so back and now has a series of tv camera's around it. But it is in a position where its very difficult to hold the speed to 50 km and god knows what it is set to fire at ??

In NSW the mobile speed cameras can catch you from the front. I have the ticket to prove it. The ticket also proves that my Morris 1100 is capable of breaking the limit!

Fantastic Mike....did you get them to check your speedo accuracy as well :?:

Why aren't there more hot 1100s around....I love the sound of my mates MG 1100...you can pick it coming for miles :D
