OK, we're baaaack.. sorry Mick, no fish!
We floated Barney the Pretend S from Sydney to Devonport on the good ship Spirit of Tasmania III, and proceeded to circumnavigate the island in a clockwise direction.
We put over 2000km on him without mechanical problems.
Oil consumption was only 500mL total, we put none in for the whole trip.
The only hiccup was a bit of carby icing up in the snow at Derwent Bridge, on the way to Queenstown- making the throttles stick at part throttle, but that didn't stop our progress at all.
I've never seen this before, but yes it can happen, on SUs at least.
Met up with Camel and MiniMafia at Baskerfield circuit, as he said.

Great to hear that Kev and Wendy have been exploring....thought we might have got some Patagonian Toothfish out of this with Camels connections....never mind....sounds like quite a 2K click adventure
