I mean it aint an ideal solution but I have no fuel issues currently as mine aint a daily driver, so it would be a safety measure for long trips only. Sure beats $200!
Be careful about carrying fuel in plastic jerry cans in the boot, long term.
You risk the can vibrating around- and it could wear a hole if/when it rubs on something. Then you got 20L of fuel sloshing in there with the battery...
I've lost a few oil bottles (full of oil) this way. Helps rustproof the boot!
Jerry can is OK for a trip though- just don't leave it in there permanently!
