There have been many Italian Job replica Mini's built, but I wonder if anyone has ever built a yellow 'Pork Pie replica', complete with missing boot lid!

Now there is an idea!

I've thought of it a few times , would be a fun one to have sitting around and you wouldn't really need a good mini to start with . Dodgy a local shell to look like internal hinges , doesn't matter when it's missing the doors anyway . Has anyone over there done a goodbye pork pie run like they do the Italian Job run in EUrope ? COuld be a fun trip ....

Don't forget , if you're going to keep it true to the movie she's got to give you (a) head in a railway carriage and swipe a heap of furniture to decorate the carriage ....

Yeah , good point , enough half naked women standing next to white goods (I think from memory) posters to wallpaper a railway carriage . Or did you mean your cameo in the concrete bunker toilet with the magazines  .....

If you get the director's edition DVD (recently released), it has an interview with Geof Murphy, explaining how it's a deeply religious movie. Although he's a bit pissed in the interview, it does make sense and adds depth to what I thought was just a kiwi road movie.

Could somebody start a Torrent of this movie? I'd love to see it but I can't find it anywhere.
