yes i should have listened to the advices instead of saying nah it can't be that it can't be that.

today got her working the same as usual again. replaced the fuse casue it had gone but behind the metal so you could'nt see. then i went for drive to the petty station. turned off, and wouldn't turn back on, and the light switch fell apart, so i hitched a ride ont he back of a bmx bike to my dads work, took my brothers car home, got some tools and jumper leads and a new switch (from the $75 thread) and drove back int he feroza, got the mini running after putting it back together and jump starting it. then parked the feroza just outside the petty station while leaving the mini running so it would keep running. (not like sydney, it wont get stolen in 2 secs.) drove it to home town and had a free battery check by tyrepower, they just checked it and tightened the earth lead and now she runs sweet.

then drove out and gave dad a lift to the feroza.

it has been a long day but molly now drives again. phew

No lights on the dash indicate no power to the oil switch and alternator field, more than likely a dirty fuse. Try cleaning both fuses and the holder. The one with the two white wires and all the green wires feeds the ignition light and oil light. As to the starter solenoid going tik, tik and no joy in turning over, the most common problem is that the contacts in the solenoid are dirty and therefore no battery feed to the starter. If your battery is charged and this problem is intermittent, time to change the solenoid. They can be repaired to give good service life. Incidently your lights will be bright as they are powered directly from the battery feed via the light switch but without a charge light, will soon drain your battery as will the ignition.
