I've seen people who have a disconnected wire from front to back run a wire to replace it under the car. They do this instead of finding where the wire has been disconnected or broken. Happens a lot with these cars as they have been used as a cheap hack to get around in.

You will simply have to check all the rear lights for operation, and also the fuel pump and fuel tank.
