called up shannons, got my brothers deluxe insured for 150 bucks for the year which is awesome!

But then when it comes to mine - due to the fact im still on my P's and its a clubby... it would be like 500 bucks for me! :?

Heres the bit i dont get,
We asked how about if we were registering my clubby in my brothers name like the roundie (if he was going to be the only one drivingt it). It was still going to be 400 bucks :!:

what the hell is with that? Just because its a clubby  registration is so much more :?

stef, what happens there is not that it is a clubby, but that it is not 35 years old yet.. once a caar hits 35 years old then the premium drops quite substantially... BUT that price that oyu have of $500 is still bloddy good!

$500 is really good considering you're on you're P's still AND you've written off a car as well. Its only $41.67 if you pay by the month.

You might as well insure it correctly as you don't want to be jerked around when it comes to a claim, this means disclosing all claims/accidents and any speeding fines/traffic convictions etc

The insurers WILL deny the claim if you fail to disclose all information - unless you've got a lot of leverage with them (lots of business etc).

its only 3rd party (no fire and theft)

my nissan is only just over 200bucks

but yea, its thru bank SA CGU, the excess i believe is like 1300 or so though (young drivers extra is $650 or somethin, then regular excess of 250 is doubled because of the 12 inch wheels

thats still very cheap mate.

I think the shannons excess may be substanitally cheaper... but then again i could be wrong....

btw, have you considered payn a little bit more for Comprehnsive, your car is really nice and you would not want anything to happen to it and not be able to replace it!

thats fair enough, but still be really careful with theft as well. Minis are becoming a little bit of a target for thievs. do you have a kill switch in your mini?
