It's a "Rover" bootlid, with the standard numberplate light removed, and a 'classic' style numberplate light added to the top of the numberplate...

Rover Minis had the badges on RH side well away from the lamp.
If you want it to LOOK like a proper Mini Deluxe, I'd get another bootlid.
All Oz bootlids are the same from ~`65 on.
Even a Clubby one would do...

In Oz, wind up windows were introduced in 65.

I'm wondering if your numberplate flap is hinged to hang down when opened? If it is, then you will need to move the light cos it will scatch that loverly paint!!

Cheers
Matt

Luckily it doesnt have a numberplate flap so the paint is all in the clear, number plate is bolted straight to the boot. why do some have numberplate flaps anyway?? also another reason for wantin to put bootlid badges on is to reduce the amount of people that ask me what model it is lol

Hey >Rude< at least you will now know that 1 other person has a morris mini deluxe! Now for some pics!

I CAN'T GET MY PICS TO LOAD - CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW PLEASE!

There are actually two more little plastic retainers that you can't see that are underneath the metal.

Measurements:- From the top of the light underneath the number plate to the centre of the words is 7 & 3/8". The spacing between each word (from the closest point which is the line underneath) is 7/8". Just say if you want some more detail. My car was originally a Morris Mini Deluxe and this is still the original bootlid.

Cheers

You have to post your pics on the web in order for them to work, some sort of image hosting site like photobucket or something, n then use the adress of the pics in the line

I had to do some good stuff to put my cooper s badges on. Last owner had put Morris Mini 1100 just a half inch below the boot handle and filled the original hole. DUMB!.... I put min in realtion to where the original hole were (remains of pins could be seen on the inside on the bootlid.) even tho won't be much help to you here it is. BTW the swing down number plate thing was to make driving with baggages stacked up on the back legal. Although I would doubt that is it nowadays anyways.,..
