I've posted these somewhere here before (at least once)

Here's my efforts from a couple of months back - couldn't be bothered to take the instrument binnacle off and have to line everything up so made a half-length dash instead...

Since this pic was taken, i've added three gauges above the stereo (had cut the holes when I made it but left the vinyl over the holes). Looks better now but I haven't taken any new pics yet.

I'm pretty happy with it for a first attempt. As I wanted to be able to remove it easily so the car can be returned to original condition, I didn't drill any holes, just used a couple of turnbuckles to hook the dash to the dash rail and to some solid part near the bulkhead like this...

If it's any help, take a look at the template at Minifinity:

http://www.minifinity.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=TechLibrary&file=doku&id=diy_dashboard

This is what I used - I guess it depends on your skill level - I have no talent whatsoever with woodwork so planned on covering it with vinyl to hide any imperfections!!

Good luck.

What gauges you using? Hold the dash in place and mark with a pencil along the bottom roughly where you want the gauges to sit. eg. if you using a 3 gauge from a clubman put a mark directly above the steering column, this way you can centre the gauges

rofl @ WasabiPimpNinja

ok with that template, i didnt print it out...
i got the measurements and just drew it onto a bit of carboard. then i checked to see if that was the right size and shape (which it was) so i traced around that on some mdf and VOILA
