Yep , seen a couple of them , the cars history said the engine number was right and the owner hadn't changed the brakes , the last few clubbies were real hotch potch versions with whatever was left . The last 10 1275LS's were perfect but the standard clubbies got all sorts of things ...

Yeah that's 1979 though wen the last minis rolled through.
My car is an Oct 78 and I think the scramble to deplete the parts bins was already on as the compnay was suffering pretty badly by then.

Remember that by them Minis were up against hot jap hutches and lrgely speaking the only people buying the mini were student nurses and white leghorns who had finally traded in their Morrie Minors. It had run its course as a production car.

Funny how the wheel turns. In our house I fix the mini and mini derivitives as well as the HQ tonner. The commodore gets fixed by a mechanic who understands things like crank angle sensors and hot air pressure sensors.

The only censor I understand is the one who sits beside me mostly when I am driving.
