1/16" to out.... What is the distance between the measurements??
Is it taken off the rim??(10" apart?) or off the tyre?? (more like 16")
I am after a measurement so I can work out the angle between the wheels when adjusted to 1/16" toe.....
thanks

PM send but here it is anyway.
From my BMC factory workshop manual (red cover) 1964-65-
"With car unladen, tyres at recommended pressure and steering in straight ahead position, each wheel should make an angle of 7° 30' with the longitudinal axis of the car.
When this angle is correct,
TOE-OUT will be 1/16" (1.59mm).
Measurement must be taken on a 14-1/2" (368.3mm) diameter on the sidewall of the tyre, at a distance of 9.4" (239mm) above the road surface."
Bear in mind this was in 1964 or so, suspension was dry, tyres were crossply not radial, and ride heights were greater than anybody would use now.
I set mine about 1.5mm at the treads (10" wheels), and adjust it if I get uneven wear across the tyre.
<edit> typo, I had toe-IN not toe-OUT.
