Thanks cush, you're being a great help.

Edit:

Cush.... First you say my posts arent mini orientated enough.... now I'm actually trying to learn something about minis and you're being a pain. Whats the go?
I understand that trying to humour me. But I'm actually trying to get an answer about something.

I have done a search, and dont have the time to go through 8 pages of threads, as some of the titles aren't the clearest on what the thread is about.

As for taking a train, yes I can do that, but I'm not overly confident on taking a train out to somewhere to meet someone I've never met, or spoken to before by myself.

You're question seems fine and relevant to the mini chat section, so in that regard you are already way ahead of the cushmeister who has yet to post anything relevant to ...well... anything!

The way we learn is by asking questions.... so we have learnt a little of cush by his answers to said questions.

The other thing we must do is use our judgement to determine which answers are relevant and which are cush's.

remember the cush feeds and grows on our reactions.

If you want issue 7, simply look for the mini experience on google, find watto's phone number and give him a call.

It's well worth the money.

While you are there, you may as well subscribe.

Cush, I'm frustrated about your contradictions reguarding me. The "spamfest" issues have been delt with, the posts have been deleted, its been and gone, get over it. And Yes, I will tell you to get over it becuase the simple fact is that this is a thread asking for information, that of which you have not provided. The spaming was all done in threads and sections for spamming, so stop your whinging and go away. Reputation shouldnt matter when you are trying to find out something about a mini, on a mini forum, where people are full of knowledge.

Thanks Matt68, I will look into it.

Good to see nothing has really changed around here, except the destructive spam keeps rolling on and onnnnn....

I just sold my Sunshine to Ben from Bunbury, and now I find myself all moved into a brand spanking new house in Point Cook.

The Vacuum actuated roof was in fact a seal that would suck down by pressing a button on the dash between the light and window wiper switches. This allowed the vacuum in the engine manifold to suck the seal under the glass down and let the glasss then be slid back and forth.

There seems to be a growing interest in these models now, now I've owned one I keep finding them all over the place.

Glad to see that everyone is taking this question seriously!!

The Leyland Mini Clubman S Sunshine was realeased in October 1977. It came factory fitted with an Autosun Sportsroof, colour coded interior trim (i.e it was two tone, in either tan vinyl with gold dot pattern cloth, or fawn vinly with brown dot pattern cloth) thick (uniqe) pinstripes, leather wrapped steering wheel, special 'Sunshine' decals, tinted side and rear windows and centre roof mounted aerial. Other than that it was a clubby s (so it had flares, 3 gauge dash, AM radio mobile radio, rostyle 10x4.5 steelies).

Only 360 of them were made from the factory, and their vin started with 022x2s2mo9/....... and this was shared with some palin clubman S's

The thing that maade a Sunshine a SUnshine was the sunroof, It had won many international design awards, and this was due tothat fact that it provided a water and dust proof seal by operating a rubber seal off the inlet pressure in the manifold. A dash mounted release valve, when depressed would suck the rubber seal in, allowing the roof to be opened or closed, and when released, would blow back up to seal the roof! Other than that it also had a trick wind deflector, that meant you could have the roof slightly open in winter or rain (while maintaining a constant speed) to allow the stale air out and keep the windows clear.

that is the sunshine in a nutshell. I think they are the best looking (stock) clubby ever released, (i am biased tho) and love mine to pieces. there are a few floating around, but most are very rusty, or butcherd. there is a top one in tassie tho.

hope that helped.

Mick now that you're living in point cook you should drive down to geelong for the geelong social night. i think its on the 20th. It'd take you about 40-50 minutes to get there...i think. Whenever i do the trip town the HWY its in peak hour traffic. I work in altona.
