I always insist on post unless there is just no other option.
Couriers are a city to city, suburb to suburb affair. Like most things, outside of the greater metropolitian area, couriers fall down badly.

We often buy things off ebay and it can take two weeks for a couriered object to get to the region and then we have to drive to the depot to pick it up - no out of town deliveries.

My engine crane came off ebay ex-adelaide. It went adelaide to Dubbo then Dubbo to Sydney. Then Sydney to Orange. The guy in Orange rang andsaid they dont deliver to Gulgong but for an extra $50 they could arrange for a courier to deliver it to a drop off point in Mudgee.

Post works - three - four days from anywhere in Australia and its here. Stuff from Honkers and mainland China here in three days everytime.

Is that via post or courier? I used to insist on post- it was much cheaper. But I often had to twist their arm, I think they like using couriers as it's easier for them.

It was quoted as courier, once it goes over a certain weight the online calculator won't work out the postage price. I agree though that post is a lot better and cheaper too!!

They don't weigh much.
Weight of 2 in Wipac box is 1.4kg.
Add outer packing, will be well under 2kg.

You can get Cibie 7" kits, try Autobarn. Not sure on price but you can see at night with them.
