Oh sh!t, seeing the car makes it worse, what a nice original looking S, and to have racing history too, irreplaceable...........

Find these scum and put them away!

I am so glad I integrated my Garage with the house alarm system, I could not bear to think about this happening :(

i dont trust those " lock up security" garages in apartments etc. my friend had one in one of the best apartment blocks in melb, always get stuff stolen. we found out it was one of the kids that lived in the same place.
because they are so secluded it just means people cant see them doing the stuff and if another car comes they just duck down. also there is always a manual way to open the roller doors from the inside.

Oh man, this Mini really looks like mine with the same white color, except my one is a cheapy Matic and his is an incomparable Cooper S.

Hope these guys get caught so the Mini family will be safer....

Our sympathies to you guys. Seems that as Minis get older the ars#hol##s have realized their worth. Strange that it was locked up in a secure area with video surveilance. Could be an inside job. Hope you catch the #@$%$#@.

If it is the car I think it is I have not seen it since the early eighties but it still looks good, it beat my Morris 1100S at Oran Pk.

Just a warning, I bet the bloke that stole it is reading these posts so don't give too much away.

I bet it is getting a nice red paint job over the weekend and will be getting a blue slip next week.

Yeah, usually if somebody targets a car on purpose, they have more than one intention.

Its very unlikely to be a "joyride" case. These guys would be after some parts. If the car ever turns up again, it wont have the same engine or interior in it.

And being a collectors item, there is a greater chance of it having an interstate or overseas buyer waiting for it. Amateurs might strip it and start advertising unwanted bits straight away....... pro's might lock it up and deal with it after a few months.

Either way..... i think it's a goner. Unfortunately.
