Wasn't the word I wanted to hear

The search continues.

I might bite the bullet and bid on those 145 dollar jobbies

Well, just because someone's selling it for that price doesn't mean someone else will want to pay that much. If anyone's doing an original restoration, they probably also know that they can get the same item for a lot less by hunting around - it's part of the fun for me, at least.

I'm not so keen on people either ripping people off or pushing up the price people think they can get for parts. It implies a scarcity which is not valid.

I am very tempted to pay their starting price for the doors (each).

I paid $300 for my good set and $100 for average set.

Both with glass and handles.

Sorry Will neither are for sale

That's a good post.
It let me know how much you paid for good and bad ones, to give me an indication.

:)

check these out willy

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... &rd=1&rd=1

those doors you posted just before seem ok but if they arnt bare metal then you dont know what your getting.
$145 each isnt bad in my opinion. but then again i just spent close to $500 on the chrome trim that goes around the sliding window frame. sad but true
