Yep, sure can.

Thought of another nothing. Yesterday I drove into school into the clubby and parked, then a guy in his early 90s celica drove in, and when i parked it, he floored it and drove into another park. The guy is an alright bloke. But LOL, his car. It went 'Vawoosh!' then I revved my car, with a VaaROOOOO, and shaking front. HAHA I won. 8)

His car is faster, but dam mine is sexier.

I've had mine since i was on my L's, all i can say is it has been a big learning curv, but it is worth it. 3 years later and i still love my car.

If you really want a mini you need to be prepared to work on it. And you don't want to be afraid to go out on a date and have dirty hands cos the car has broken down on the way, or because you have just finished putting the car back together, lol.

- I learned to drive in my mini.
- I gained much driving experience in my mini and have been driving now for over 15 years.
- I love my mini.
- I could never get rid of my mini.
- Are you prepared to wave at and back to other mini drivers.

Treat your mini with love, kindness and attention and an open wallet now and then.

It is all up to you but you need to ask yourself what do you want from the car. Are you expecting to be able to do many long distance drives, are you wanting a hoon car, are you happy getting your hands dirty and regularly take a look under the bonnet.

Minis need a little bit extra attention than modern cars but if you are willing to properly maintain them they are a great source of fun and satisfaction.

Plus there are many, many great mini owners about

I'm 17 (nearly 18y) and have had my mini since i was 16 with my learners, learnt everything with my mini, rebuilt the engine n gearbox n a few other lil things just to make it that lil bit better, has always been reliable and i paid for the whole car and the rebuild myself with a casual job (hungry jack's!) whilst goin to school.

A fair few of us drove to school and they all envied the mini as it always stuck out. its fun to drive and its my daily driver. wouldnt want any other car after having the mini......except my dream 69 camaro but thats a long way off hehe :D always wanted a mini as a lil boy and dont regret a thing.

thats the problem of having a mini as a first car. there are so many quirky little things that are grat about owning one it is hard to imangine owning anything else.
i know if i got a rid of molly i'd regret not having everyone look at me when i showed up and been able to park in fun places and just been a cheeky driver case i'm in mini.
molly is driving me bankrupt though, and i am finding it difficult, very difficult to maintain her. addmittadly she goes bung after a i go out for a burn, or a little run.

mabey i need to vere away from minis for a while and get the P plater hoon out of me...
...before our streets are 1 mini less.

question is, what kind of car gets a good positive re-action from people, that people notice, that you can put the edal to the metal in and have a fun time?

I've had a mini ever since getting my licence. I liked the accessability of the car and just how cool it looked with a pair of stripes over the top.
I have had a string of other cars, an old rodeo, a vectra, a wrx,a starlet, a forrester and my Yammy R1. Nothing rpt nothing is as cool as jumping in the mini after a week or so and going for a blast.

It coughs, it farts, it stinks and vibrates. It's closer to flying an old aircraft than it is to driving a modern car, and that's cool.

that couldn't be more truer, if i had a dollar for the amount of times i have drivng along and felt like was in an old figher jet with the bounces and the sound of no sound sytem cept the engine and the stalthyness of taking corners dwn low. that'd be a few extra dollars i wouldn't owe mum and dad.

Do you think minis are suitable for P platers e.g reliability and parts.

I'm a P plater and have own my Mini now for roughly 3.5 years and its been the best car to learn on and has been extremely reliable I've only had to replace thing as they wear out or in one case blew up. That's the same with any car.

If you have a passion for Mini's then buy one enjoy it and drive it well. :D :D

Most P platers want fast cars, and they always go for Jap crap but y pay big money when u can get a mini, they are light and all ya need is a lightly tuned engine and your away... 8) my lightly tuned 1098 beats my mates subaru liberty  it's all to do with power to weight.
