I believe genuine Rover ones are NLA, so most mounts for sale now are the cheapo stuff.

Even in the UK??? :? You would think someone would be making quality, close to the OEM units??

I dunno!!! I had old engine mounts on mine and it was still a b&*ch of a job regardless... I reckon just use new mounts. If you are going to have the same problems anyway, you'd want new ones in there so you don't have to change them again anytime soon. That's my opinion...

But we do!!! some of the newer mounts are cheap crap...I have seen an example where the rubber parted from the metal...get the best available

I ordered mine from Minispares. The pack did have a genuine rover part number so there you go! You get what you pay for :?

9YaTaH,
Since Rover stopped Mini production the arse has fallen out of parts demand.
With labour cost at ~$0.85/hr in China, no points for guessing where much of this (now aftermarket) stuff comes in from now.
Yeah it goes to UK before we get it.....

My observations:
1. Quality costs, so how much do ya want....
2. The Chinese can copy anything, but Quality eludes them unless their customer has people there to ensure it continually happens.
