I installed it on the negative last night and it works fine. I only want it so that i can isolate the battery when i'm not using the car to stop it going flat.

I've had it on negative for over a year now (negative is easier as its at the front) and its been alright. I didnt like it at first but now I reckon its great as it does save time in not having to undo the battery mount every single time.
Make sure you do it up properly on the battery terminal as well as tightening the old terminal onto this one really well as I do find it has the tendency to loosen up and slip off.
To keep your battery charged with the car stationary for long periods get yourself one of those trickle chargers.
