Thanks guys,

I installed it on the negative last night and it works fine. I only want it so that i can isolate the battery when i'm not using the car to stop it going flat.

I think i need to go out and get a book on electrics for dummies as there was a fair bit of that discussion I didn't get!

Cheers.

I've had it on negative for over a year now (negative is easier as its at the front) and its been alright. I didnt like it at first but now I reckon its great as it does save time in not having to undo the battery mount every single time.

Make sure you do it up properly on the battery terminal as well as tightening the old terminal onto this one really well as I do find it has the tendency to loosen up and slip off.

To keep your battery charged with the car stationary for long periods get yourself one of those trickle chargers.

I run one of the battery terminil cutoff switches on each car, the green one has a 10A circuit breaker fitted across it so the stereo and alarm don't get deprived of juice.
Good idea- must fit a breaker to the red car too.
