Thank for the link harvey69 but it's a bit like trying to read another language, not shure i understand. As of now the engine bay is quite empty. The radiator is out so is the alternator and the wiring loom, what is worying me is all those small pipe at the buttom of the engine bay. The set up i have here dont let me see under the car so i dont realy know where those pipes are going. The way it is now, let me see that there is a bit of rust in the engine bay. So i think that to be able to fix that rust i need to remove the engine. Is any of those pipe are connected to the engine.

Also, can you be a bit more specific to where i neeed to bolt this engine removing clip you can buy?

ok mate, it depends what ur willing to spend, and the quality ur after. if u wanta show job go the whole hog, if u want a everyday driver, notso much.

with the colour how different is??

it is possible to take all the accessories and bits and bobs off the engine and paint the engine bay, wth the engine still in, if thats wha u wanna do?
or paint the engine bay gloss black, just scotch bright and degreeser it, prepsol it and paint it....

chers jamie

Thank everuone for all the advice you are all good help.

( Harvey ) Henry..........where in Geelong are you????

15 min from you in Point Lonsdale.

( mad-mk1) ok mate, it depends what ur willing to spend, and the quality ur after. if u wanta show job go the whole hog, if u want a everyday driver, notso much. with the colour how different is??

The car was originally white then blue and i want to paint it green. I have done some sanding then primer and then paint some panel. The result is not too bad, if you stay 2-3 meter of the car. What i want to do is remove the paint from the engine bay (It's peeling and there is some suface rust) and repaint it. I dont want a show car but something half decent. So i am not shure if i need to remove the engine.
