I hope you guys realise that cars more than 10 years old will not be judged or eligible for trophys, regardless of their quality.

Serious??

That is stupid. So your S13s and Early 180sx's and 300ZX will not bve able to compete, well that's a lot of the ricers entering.

They can go in if they want, the more cars the merrier, but cars older than 10 years from the biuld date are for show only. One of the owners of the AutoSalon series told me that himself.

The 10 year old only rule to me only does 2 things. Keeps hot rodders from winning, and stops the same car form winning for too long.

Unfortunately you would have to be superich to even have a chance at winning. You couldn't buy a car and spend 20 years of time and money making the best car you possibly could, becasue it would be too old to win.

If entry isn't too expensive I'd consider taking my car just to show, but I'm not sure if poeple would want to see a mini, afterall it's not an EVO.

Na, it doesnt take too much. In 2000, my '97 Mazda Metro won a trophy in Adelaide then in Melbourne.... and I spent less than 10 grand on modifications. It had standard white paint and all. Times have changed though...

SC850, that is cool. Pics...???

I went on the autosalon website and saw another thing, if you enter yourself you need to bring your own flooring. Is you were with the Alpine mini I guess you'd use theirs?

Maybe next year I might look into, just for fun, taking my car and setting up a little display with a midget fence around it. :D

Also interstate entrants are free! Fancy a road trip anyone? :P

At a show like that, i would recommend bringing some kind of fence to stop people touching and sitting in your car. I remember at least 2 people had their gearknobs stolen - and they never walked away from their cars the whole weekend.

I'm sure there will be atleast a few people with the Mini's for the whole event.

I like that they have that rule for judging. It's keeping the show different and in its own genre.

If I wanna see hot rods, I go to the hot rod show. 8)

I've herd that we have some walls on the proposed display, plus we'll be bringing Mutants barrier to help people proof the Minis on display.
