I got my sons name on my inner forearm... DID NOT HURT but on the drive home felt like a beesting...

Take care in the healing stage (14 days) and you wont regret it and have to go back for touch-up.

And visit your chemist, go to the baby section and buy BEPANTHEN... its the best and what the pro's recommend. (Google for tattoo + bepanthen)

Cheers,
Peter.

And when he tells you not to put too much cream (or bepanthen) on, listen to him. If you put too much on your tattoo will become slightly faded.

Yep, just a thin layer... but often.
Listen to your atrist about how they take care of them.

Usually you get home, wash with warm water and Cetaphil (not the lotion, but the cleanser) and then apply bepanthen... DONT wrap it, put clothes, etc... as much as you can.

On the other hand, you have guys who get home, shower, dry, and never care about it again... no creams, no fuss... but I dont think thats right.

Peter.
