Bugger about the A539s, they are good!

I got dunlop formula R's on my car. (10s) but the A539s on the clubman have alsted for ages and still good and they grip so good, I mean pushed to the limits they wouldn't be as good but I've done crap tyres on my car and let's just say at COllingrove hillclimb it gets tail happy, which could be fun i guess but really no good for keeping grip. And the wheelspin of 50hp atws was rediculous.

It was senceless stupidity IMO to make the A539's NLA .... makes me wish I had a garage ful of them now.

When you have had some one (Yes a Mini) do a 360 infront of you when running on Falkins, you tell everyone to get rid of them

Great tyre but NLA...

Rang Pat Tyres in Fyshwick yesterday and he has said the NLA of A359 is absolute bunk. He got the new Yoko catalogue yesterday(24/4)and they are listed in it so therefore can be ordered and fitted. The 10 inch 008 tyres are also still being made and there is no intention of stopping it according to Pats tyres(the japs make a run of them then have a breather, once stocks are low they make another batch...)

Pats Tyres called Melbourne(Yoko head shed)and they put the rumours to bed - they are still being made...I have mentioned it before, go to the website and contact Christian who will source the tyres if they are available - its an email away...lol

Just for clarification...

Only time I lost control was running Falkins all round least with A539s on the front now I've 1/2 a chance of not spinning out.

Falkens are great in the dry but totally non existant in the wet...you would have better luck on bald tyres. They wear horribly fast as well and there are better out there(just have to pay for it though...lol)

The 539 yokos are arguably one of the better tyres produced for all conditions. They wear well and very little road noise. The yoko I like is the 352 but unfortunately dont come in a 12 inch(I think they have 13 inch though) and they were a hoot to drive on - the faster they went, the grippier they were. You just have to trade off on a little road noise(esp in corners...FAST corners...lol)

I would suggest that if you get some 539's try and buy a spare set...the market is very fickle and being saturated by the chinese crap nowdays...
