Wow! I like! It's a style you don't often see with Mini's. It's not my favourite style, but hell, I like it!

Minis can't be Hot Rods - to be a Hot Rod, it's got to be pre 1948 and have a full separate chassis. I looked into it to get my Minor registered that way... No go for a Minor either. :x If they'd said yes, I could've had a blown 4.6L Range Rover V8 in it...
Technically a Mini's from the 50's, but it's stretching it a bit thin... They're definitely more a 60's car. So don't think about 57 Chev's and the Batmobile, think more along these lines: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/1965-SS-CHEVROLE ... dZViewItem
It's a totally different scene to Minis - it's Elvis in Hawaii compared to the Beatles - take your pick, because while both may be good, they don't seem to mix... It's like oil and water. I don't know why, though... I guess it's down to the vast difference in car culture between the UK and US - the US goes like a bull through a gate, but it doesn't have subtlety, it can't change direction quickly. Meanwhile, the UK doesn't have the muscle it dreams of.
Personally, I don't like the arches on that orange Mini - too big, too plasticky, and the wheels would be a lot of work, but I like the wheels, and the Mini...
