Begin angry anti-Regency rant!!!!>
I was made to comply to ADRs that came in in post 71 and 72, they said "It doesn't matter", so I went with it.
Oh and put an original steering wheel on it if not already, it's 100% legal is SA to put any steering whell you like on a pre-71 car as long as it's not damaged, not nope, they make their own rules.
I have a 'formal warning' against my car for not having an ADR complaint steering wheel, interestingly an original is not ADR complaint, now I have a rover one which is accpeted (I called them) but to get rid of my 'warrant' against me I need to take another full inspection, forget that!
Clean all oil leaks, as oil leaks are illegal (they told me that why I queried then over a single drop of oil).
After all of it was not rude, I was with my dad, I accepted it all and went back again and passed with what seemed to be a yes or no system "did you fix this?" "yeah" "good".
Found my fails...! Big list!
There were some just ones rear brake balance not good enough and roll cage, but I didn't want to register my car as a 2 seater.
Here are two silly ones, pedal rubbers to be replaced! They were warn but still in good condition! Original bonnet hinges to be re-fitted.
They singled me out, simple as that, I should have only failed for brake balance and roll cage, as I don't want my car to be a single seater, that's it. Interestingly, I was warned about hoses, which wasn't an issue at all, but my dad's mate who runs a Land Rover repairs business has sent some cars through Regency and he failed on one for having fuel hose for a vent pipe to the intake, instead of vacuum hose. But this was not an issue for me.
End very angry rant>
You'll be fine, if you don't pass then it's ok they don't defect your car, they give you some paperwork and you come back and provided you don't go silly, they ONLY check what they failed you on. So 2nd go is easy as!
