I have started building an 1100 up recently too, and was wondering the same thing, but now that that has been answered I have another question :)

I am considering the option of supercharging mine sometime down the track - I will just grind a new head to lower compression and change the cam.

At the moment I don't think I would do anything too crazy with it, just a basic supercharger setup, but you never know where these things will end up

Is +100" still the go, or should I bore it less to maintain cylinder wall thickness and block stiffness?

I thought I heard that a big bore had your name on it - why would you play with a modded small bore (regardless of what small bore pundts may say) when you can just bolt grunt to your existing gearbox.

How are the repairs coming along ??
