You pay everytime you run at a sprint or khana.
If you only run one a year you only pay once.
If you run in fifteen events you pay fifteen times.
The last Club I was a member of was $99 a year about 3 years back.
The last sup regs a saw for an Eastern Creek supersprint was about $150 but they have gone up since then.
As soon as you start proper racing the real fees start to add up.
Licence.
Medical.
CAMS manual.
Fines. (these days you can't avoid them, they will get you for something even if it is being late to the drivers briefing)
Log book fees.
Car ownership transfer fees.
It never ends.
My last full season I gave CAMS more money than I spent in tyres.
I got as high as paying for an International licence to race at Bathurst in the early 90's. I had paid them about $500 in different costs when they suddenly decided to bring in a new licence called a Superlicence on top of the International licence. The cost for the extra licence was $500 for Production cars or $1000 for Touring cars.
I could have raced in F3 overseas with a CAMS international licence but to use it in Australia meant spending another $500 or $1000. Robbing pricks.
