I don't carry people back there. it reduces the power/weight ratio. 8)

But if you did Kev then "Morris" would have a better chance of keeping up with "Barney"

Barney (nursemini's car) DOES have rear belts. The PO fitted them. I dunno if I'd want to hit anything real hard though!
It's my car (HaHa) that has no rear ones.

my blue slip guy did not want to know about the FRONT belts fitted to my 850. he said that he had been told by "experts" that they never had ANY belts :o . i pointed out that the mountings were there and they were at least a factory option in the front anyway. Plus the mounts were exactly the same as every post 65 car proving that they were indeed factory. the PO had replaced the original belts with some aftermarket ones that don't look period. the blue slipper said that if anyone ever asked, that i fitted them AFTER he gave me the blue slip  . he was mostly worried about the ID of the car for the blue slip though

so if you take em out and get the blue slip, then put them in after, the blue slip guy can't be liable because he never saw them. as long as he does not register it as a two seater you should be fine. if it was me and i was putting people, especially kids in the back, i would have the belts and mountings fitted by an authorised belt fitter. personally i don't ever take anyone in the back of mine.
